TASK 3,

Q1. The space of E is much smaller than J and for J, we would have to add up the different parts together or by estimation to obtain a reading for J. Thus there is a higher chance of errors in measuring J than E.

Q2. Cosine error, Parallex error, accident bending of the measuring bar of vernier caliper.

Q3. The accuracy of a vernier caliper is 0.05mm. (derived part) For example, when the jaws are closed, the 20th div on the vernier scale is 39mm on the main scale and 1 div on the vernier scale would then be 39 divided by 20 equals 1.95mm. And when the jaw is opened, the first div on the vernier scale is in line with 2mm on the main scale. Therefore, the least count of the vernier would then be 2mm minus 1.95mm thats equal to 0.05mm.

Q4. We sketch tomorrow :D

TASK 2,

Q1. The vernier depth gauge is focused on measuring the depth of an object and the depth gauge has more measuring area unlike the measuring bar of a vernier caliper that is thin and could accidently been bent.

Q2. Abbe's Law is the maximum accuracy obtained when the axis or line of measurement of the measured part that should coincide with the axis of the standard instrument. Yes.

Q3. The accuracy is 0.001mm.

Q4. "Sketch"
